Original Aero Mark Howe from the team’s WHA days is one of the most recognizable faces in hockey. Howe played in Houston from 1973-1977 before eventually moving on to a productive career in the NHL with Hartford, Philadelphia and Detroit. Howe, the son of the legendary Gordie Howe, was a four-time NHL All-Star for his goal-scoring ability whether it was playing forward or defense.
“Mr. Hockey: The Gordie Howe” story, which is the movie about Gordie Howe’s return to the sport at age 44 to play with his sons, premieres May 4 on the Hallmark Channel.
Hockey Stop got a rare interview with Mark Howe during Sunday’s game where he talked about the new film and his reaction to the Aeros leaving Houston.
